Defiance County deputies are investigating after a pedestrian is hit and killed by a train, near Miller Road, just west of Hicksville. Officials have identified the victim…it’s Logan Schambers, 18, of Avilla. He used to live in Hicksville. Schambers’ body was taken to the Lucas County Coroner’s Office. The investigation is continuing and awaiting the final coroner’s report.
