Deadly Fire In St. Joe

One woman is dead and two firefighters hospitalized after a house fire in St. Joe on Widney Street. Two people were home at the time. One person was able to escape, but a woman was later found dead. Two firefighters were injured and taken to the hospital. One suffered minor injuries, the other suffered more severe injuries and was taken to a hospital in Indianapolis. Fire officials say they were able to get the fire under control in an hour.
