A Defiance County grand jury has indicted 13 persons, including one person charged with selling large amounts of cocaine. 27 year old Orlando Perez Jr. was indicted for three counts of trafficking in cocaine, each a first-degree felony; and engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, a first-degree felony. Perez was arrested recently by the Defiance Police Department and Defiance County Sheriff’s Office when they conducted a traffic stop on Defiance’s Ottawa Avenue. The arrest followed a two-year investigation by the Multi-Area Narcotics Unit and the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Toledo division.
