Defiance County Sheriff’s Office searching for robbery suspect

On Saturday at approximately 7:00 p.m., officers of the Defiance Police Department, with the assistance of the Defiance County Sheriff’s Office, responded to a call of an armed robbery at Shell Defiance Party Mart, 1841 East Second St. A person described as Hispanic male, approximately 4’9″ tall, thin build, wearing a grayish hoodie and a black mask covering his nose and chin, entered the store. The subject produced what was thought to be a firearm and demanded money from the attendant at the cash register. He then fled on foot according to the police.
