Defiance man was arrested Thursday on two sex-related charges in connection with minors

A Defiance man was arrested Thursday on two sex-related charges in connection with minors. 61 year old Ronald Brown of Ohio 111, was arrested on a charge of rape; and gross sexual imposition. According to Defiance County Sheriff Doug Engel, the charges stem from an investigation in which Brown allegedly had sexual conduct and sexual contact with minors under 10 years of age. Brown is being held at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio Ohio, rural Stryker, and appeared in Defiance Municipal Court Friday for a bond hearing. A case file will be presented to Defiance County Prosecutor Morris Murray for presentation to a Defiance County grand jury. The Defiance County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Job and Family Service’s child protection unit, Sarah’s House and the Center for Child and Family Advocacy.
