Defiance man was injured Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle crash

A Defiance man was injured Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle crash near Ridgeville Corners. 23 year old Daquain Butler of Greer St., Defiance, was taken by air ambulance to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, where a condition update was unavailable. A second motorist, identified as 50 year old David Heuer of Napoleon, refused medical treatment. According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, at 10:44 a.m., Butler’s vehicle was southbound on Ohio 66 and failed to yield at U.S. 6, where he collided with an eastbound vehicle driven by Heuer. Butler’s vehicle spun and came to rest in the intersection. Heuer’s vehicle came to rest in a ditch along U.S. 6. Damage was heavy to both vehicles.
