Defiance motorcyclist was killed Sunday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash

A Defiance motorcyclist was killed Sunday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in the city. Killed was 58 year old Tony Meyer of Logan St. Also injured was the second motorist, 62 year old Jack Humberger of Sunshine Lane. According to the Defiance Police Department, at 5:52 p.m., Meyer was westbound on Cleveland Avenue and failed to yield at Ottawa Avenue. Meyer’s motorcycle collided with a northbound van driven by Humberger. Meyer was pronounced dead at the scene. Humberger was taken by the Defiance Fire Department to Mercy Defiance Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
