Defiance woman killed Saturday in a two-vehicle crash in Paulding County

A Defiance woman was killed Saturday in a two-vehicle crash in Paulding County. According to the Van Wert post of the Ohio Highway Patrol the crash occurred at 6:30 p.m. on Paulding County Road 176, just west of Township Road 105. A Pontiac Grand Prix driven by 33 year old Abby Shumaker of Defiance, was eastbound on Paulding County Road 176, when it traveled left of center and struck a westbound semi driven by 36 year old Matthew Mulligan of Montpelier. Shumaker was pronounced dead at the scene by Paulding County Coroner Dr. Joseph Kuhn. Mulligan received minor injuries.
