DeKalb Crash Injures Two

Two men were injured Tues­day morn­ing in a crash in DeKalb County.

Indi­ana State Police say it hap­pened near County Road 51 when a Freight­liner truck dri­ven by 51 year old Michael Hep­h­ner of Angola went off the road, into a ditch and hit two trees.

Hep­h­ner was taken by Steuben County E.M.S. to an area hos­pi­tal. His pas­sen­ger, 64 year old Howard Beek­man of Cold­wa­ter, was flown to another hos­pi­tal by heli­copter.

No offi­cial word on what caused the crash.
