DeKalb Prosecutor Frustrated with Railroad

The DeKalb County Prosecutor’s Office is not happy with CSX. WANE reports that the railroad company has racked up over 40 traffic tickets in less than six months, something that Deputy Prosecutor Erik Weber says is an unacceptable safety hazard with traffic remaining blocked for extended periods–sometimes up to 14 hours–elevating the chance that emergency vehicles will not be able to get to an incident. The Prosecutor’s Office wanted to conduct 42 separate trials, one for each ticket, but a judge lumped the citations into more manageable groups of eight or nine.
