DeKalb Stabbing Reported

A Water­loo man was arrested over the week­end after police say he stabbed another man dur­ing a fight. 34 year old Tim­o­thy Hop­kins was taken into cus­tody on Sat­ur­day morn­ing fol­low­ing the alter­ca­tion at a home near But­ler at about 9:45am. Police say Hop­kins used a knife to cut the vic­tim in the head, hand and torso. The injuries were said to be non-life threat­en­ing, and the vic­tim was taken to a nearby hos­pi­tal where he was treated and released. Hop­kins was booked into the DeKalb County Jail on a felony charge of Bat­tery with a Deadly Weapon.
