Dick Miller, 59

Richard L. “Dick” Miller, age 59, of Wauseon, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the Fulton County Health Center. Prior to his retirement in 2011 he had worked at Sauder Woodworking in Archbold for 35 years.

Dick was born in Wauseon on May 13, 1956, the son of Vernon and Mary Jane (Lane) Miller. On October 13, 1979 he married Elizabeth “Beth” Parish, and she survives. He was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church in Wauseon. He enjoyed collecting train sets, the Cleveland Browns, Ohio State Football, and was an avid fan of Wauseon High School Football. He also enjoyed camping and held a yearly lot at the Fulton County Fairgrounds for 35 years.

Surviving is his wife, Beth; daughter, Angie (Martin) Taylor of Wauseon; two grandsons, Cody and Cedric Taylor; brother, Daniel (Kris) Miller of Wauseon; sister, Pam (Steve) Haas of Wauseon; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two nieces, Valerie Miller and Holli Haas.

Visitation for Dick will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon and will continue on Monday morning at Emmaus Lutheran Church from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 24, 2015 at Emmaus Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Charles Althoff, officiating. Interment will follow in the Wauseon Union Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Emmaus Lutheran Church.
