Drug testing of students is on the mind of Hicksville school officials. At Monday night’s board meeting, they discussed the possibility of performing random testing for school athletes. If adopted, the rules would likely start July 1. The testing would be done at Community Memorial Hospital. It would cost the district $20 per student. They will continue going over the idea in the coming weeks.
