Edwards Trial Date Set

A trial date is set for Johnny Edwards, the Napoleon man charged with two counts of rape. The allegations stem from a May 19 incident on Welsted Street. After an investigation, a warrant was put out for Edwards. He was brought in by officers in Toledo a few hours later. A jury trial is now scheduled for Sept. 16…with a final pretrial hearing on July 29. Edwards’ bond is set at $250,000 with no cash allowance.
