EEE Found In LaGrange Co

A rare mosquito-borne virus that has caused deaths in other states, including Michigan, is found in two horses in LaGrange County. At least two area counties plan to conduct mosquito control spraying. Eastern equine encephalitis virus is primarily transmitted by mosquitoes. People infected with it can develop severe inflammation in the brain.
