Elder Goes To Prison

A Defiance man is sentenced to prison for a domestic-related assault last year. Barron Elder gets 54-months, behind bars. Elder will be eligible for early release after six months in custody. Elder is accused of attacking his girlfriend, last March. Prosecutors told the court, he choked and stomped on the victim. The woman was hurt badly in the beating. Later…while apparently high on cocaine…Elder went down to the hospital, while the victim was getting care…and started a commotion there, that day. He was given credit for 176 days served in jail while his case was pending.
