The Williams County Fair will be two days shorter in 2022, but that’s actually the way it used to be. Fair Board president Matt Kennedy says the decision was made over the summer. Under the six-day plan, the livestock shows will be complete by Tuesday and the Showmanship Sweepstakes will be Wednesday night. The Band Show will stay on Monday night and Cheer Competition will stay on Tuesday. Harness racing will be Wednesday, during the day, and Youth Night stays on Thursday…though not necessarily in front of the grandstand. The livestock sale and demolition derby have yet to be scheduled. The livestock sale, which in previous years was on the second Saturday, is no longer sustainable, officials say.
