The Fulton County Community Improvement Corporation (FCIC) announced last week that it is exploring the creation of a private/public partnership organization that would foster economic development throughout Fulton county.

County officials say that private businesses will be the primary investors in the new organization, which will be designated a 501©(6), which is a designation that is usually associated with Chamber of Commerce type organizations.

The Fulton County commissioners will provide funding through conveyance fees, saying it will be a case of businesses doing business with businesses.
