Federal awards going to Univ. of Toledo’s Health Science Campus.

Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur has announced federal awards going towards the University of Toledo’s Health Science Campus. The awards given from the National Institute of Health (NIH) total in over $680,000. Funds will be used to support studies of cancer treatments and other health related research. The Cancer Treatment Research award amounts to $524,219. Funding will support research for therapeutic options for cancer patients. The University of Toledo said this funding aligns with its commitment to tackling one of the most pressing health challenges up to date.
