Fire requires assistance across three states.

A structure fire in unincorporated Columbia requires assistance from fire departments across three states. The Fremont Fire Department is called to assist the Northwest Township Fire Department, for a situation that also had a potential hazmat problem. The blaze takes roughly three hours to clear. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire has not been released. The Northwest Township Fire Department and Fremont Fire were assisted by fire departments out of Edon, Pioneer, Alvordton, Bryan, Montpelier, Angola, Metz, Hamilton, Montgomery and Camden. Several departments are handling the post-fire investigation.
