A Cooper Farms complex went up in flames on Sunday, leaving hundreds of animals dead. It happened at the White Oak Sow Farm on Paulding County Road 165. The fire was reported early Sunday morning, and when firefighters got there, they were able to contain it to one of the two barns, which housed 380 sows and their offspring. All were killed. The other barn was not affected. It held 2,200 more sows, who were saved. As of today, the exact cause of that fire is still unknown, and the investigation into the cause is still underway.
