Former OSU drum-major instructor convicted of sexual assault on student

A former OSU marching band drum-major instructor is going to prison for sexually assaulting a 19-year-old freshman. The man, Stewart Kitchen was sentenced to three years and can apply for judicial release after serving six months. The victim told the judge her life will never be the same, after the man said he was too drunk to drive home and took her to his apartment, where the assault took place. The victim told police, who monitored a call where Kitchen tried to convince her to say that the sex was consensual. The victim has left OSU and is attending another college. Kitchen will have to register as a sex offender every 3 months for life.
