Fort Wayne man facing drug charges

In other news, a Fort Wayne man was for­mally charged with drug offenses in Steuben County Mag­is­trates Court after he was arrested Fri­day. 61-year-old John Lin­ton Bar­ringer, Jr. is fac­ing a felony drug deal­ing and a mis­de­meanor traf­fic charge. Police found him asleep in an idling pickup truck that a caller said had been run­ning a long time. Police checked the man’s wel­fare and he tried to drive off. Police arrested him and dur­ing the impound, found sus­pected meth in 26 small bags. He has a $50,000 bond and his case will be back in Steuben Cir­cuit Court on Jan­u­ary 25th.
