A Fulton County man was killed in a two-vehicle crash north of Delta early Wednesday morning. The crash also closed down the intersection of two highways in the area for several hours. Killed was 24 year old Naylen Fonseca of Fayette. According to troopers of the Toledo post of the Ohio Highway Patrol, at approximately 5 a.m. in Royalton Township, a tractor trailer driven by 30 year old Roberto Hernandez Jr. of San Jacinto, Calif., was northbound on Ohio 109 and attempted to turn west on U.S. 20. Hernandez’s semi failed to yield right of way at the intersection and was struck by an eastbound tractor trailer driven by Fonseca. After colliding, both vehicles came to rest in the intersection. Fonseca was reportedly trapped in his vehicle and died at the scene. Troopers reported that he was not wearing a safety belt.
