Gas prices in Ohio are averaging $2.25 a gallon today, up 8 cents from last week. In Bryan, drivers are finding it cheaper than that, at $2.19 at the Valero at S. Union and E. Maple streets. Refineries have been increasing production to meet record-high demand. Gas supplies are at their highest levels in May on record. Lower gas prices are contributing to drivers taking to the roads at record levels. Gasoline demand has its all time high in summer 2007 and experts say this year the summer driving season is expected to rival that.
