Williams County’s unemployment rate holds steady. The county’s jobless rate was 3.2 percent in December, the same as in November, which was down from 3.4 percent in August. The rate was down significantly from the December 2018 mark of 3.8 percent and 3.7 percent in December 2017, showing year-over-year improvement. Roughly 18,300 of Williams County’s 18,900-person workforce were employed in December. Most of the surrounding counties report improving numbers, as well.
