Hundreds of winged creatures will take up residence at Oxbow Lake Wildlife Area, off Ohio 15 between Defiance and Ney, in the coming weeks, in a statewide effort to bolster hunting potential. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Wildlife is releasing more than 14,000 ring-necked pheasants this fall at 24 of Ohio’s public hunting areas. Forty birds will be released at the Oxbow Lake area this week…followed by more. In total, 380 will be added to the population.
