A head on collision on U-S 6 near Waterloo seriously injured three people just before 8 p-m Wednesday. DeKalb County deputies say it happened in the 4300 block of U-S 6 when one car crossed the center line to turn into a driveway and struck the other head-on. That first driver – 21-year-old Alexander Shoemaker of Waterloo – told police he didn’t see the other vehicle because it had no headlights on and it was raining at the time. Shoemaker and his passenger – who was not identified by police – along with the other driver – 46-year-old Donald Brown Jr. of Butler – were taken to a hospital. All were said to be in critical condition.
