A record number of participants and visitors turned out for the Relay for Life of Henry County on Friday evening and Saturday morning at the Henry County Fairgrounds in Napoleon.
Officials report that $210,768 during the relay, which they say, in combination with events yet planned, may be a record setter. Last year’s total was about $197,000.
At the Henry County Hospital employees numbering more than 200 participated in various functions, from participating in the relay to manning their stand.
Relay for Life events are for the American Cancer Society, which uses the proceeds for cancer research and to assist patients with cancer.
