Hicksville man crashes car into side of a barn

The Dekalb County Sheriff’s Department says speed was a factor when an Ohio man crashed his car into the side of a barn. Authorities in DeKalb County say a vehicle driven by 23 year old Skyler L. Navarro of Hicksville, Ohio was eastbound in the 8000 block of State Road 8 when he left the south side of the roadway where he appeared to lose control, leaving the south side of the roadway again. After loosing control, Navarro traveled through a yard at a house on State Road 8 where he struck a large barn before coming to rest against the side of the barn causing damage to both the car and the barn. He was transported to Parkview Regional Medical Center for treatment. The accident happened just after 9:30 Friday night. Navarro was cited for operating without a valid driver’s license.
