A Hicksville man was sentenced to community control for four years in Defiance County Common Pleas Court for a stabbing incident earlier this year. 26 year old Kevin Mudrack Jr. appeared for sentencing on a charge of felonious assault and was ordered to report medical prescriptions he obtains to his supervising officer within one business day. Additionally, he was ordered to have no contact with the victims or their families. A second count of felonious assault was dismissed. The charges allege that on June 19 Mudrack caused physical harm to Johnathon Kellogg and Travis Ooten-Webb with a knife in the 400 block of Hicksville’s East High Street. Ooten-Webb was hospitalized in Fort Wayne for several days with a back wound while Kellogg was treated and released at Hicksville’s Community Memorial Hospital for cuts on his forearm. According to Murray, the incident stemmed from a prior dispute between Mudrack and the two victims.
