Hicksville woman places in Miss Ohio competition

A Hicksville woman Hayley Hesselschwardt was the third runner-up in the Miss Ohio pageant held Saturday in Mansfield. She won a $3,000 scholarship. She also won the Classical Performance award.
The winner of Miss Ohio 2016 on Saturday night was Miss Portsmouth Alice Magoto, crowned at the Renaissance Theatre in Mansfield. She was awarded a $10,000 scholarship and beat 19 other contestants for the title.
Magoto will compete for the title of Miss America on Sept. 11, at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.
