Paulding Putnam Electric Cooperative is raising funds to sponsor an Honor Flight for veterans who want to fly to DC. According to the marketing manager, in two weeks they’ve raised $12,000. The goals is $70,000 and pays for veterans to fly for free to the nation’s capital to see and reflect at various war memorials. The Honor Flight Northeast Indiana organization has given the company an August deadline to raise the funds. Veterans or guardians who would like to be part of an Honor Flight may get an application on Paulding Putnam’s website, www.ppec.com.
