Hospital President Visits OH Reps in DC

Since the beginning of 2017, the president and CEO of Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers Phil Ennen has reached out to and visited Ohio’s Congressional delegation in an attempt to help inform them about the impact of repealing the Affordable Care Act, better known as Obamacare, on their constituents, as well as local health care providers. Ennin said that congressional leaders have been respectful, polite and attentive, but the health care provider’s efforts have not resulted in changed hearts, according to a prepared statement while testifying on Wednesday afternoon before the Senate Democratic Policy and Communications Committee in Washington, D.C. The public hearing was part of a focused campaign brought forward by Democrats and some in the healthcare industry, showing the real-life impact of repealing the Affordable Care Act on local communities.
