House Fire Extinguished In Montpelier

Crews were on the scene of a house fire on Washington Street in Montpelier. Officials say three area fire departments worked together in the operation. When the fire teams arrive, they find flames working their way up the back of the structure. The garage was also well involved they say at that point. One crew took up defensive positions to suppress the garage fire and protect neighboring homes while another launched an interior attack up to the attic. The fire destroyed two vehicles and heavily damaged the home. No injuries are reported.
