Crews from Bryan, Edgerton, and Montpelier respond to a house fire at the corner of County Road C and 10, outside Bryan city limits. The blaze engulfed the home’s second floor and roof, with flames also escaping from the rear of the first floor in the chimney area. The residents and neighbors tried to put out the fire with extinguishers and buckets of water until the fire department arrived. The blaze was brought under control within 30 minutes, with crews opening the walls and ceiling, looking for hot spots. A cat was in the house, but was located and removed without harm. No injuries reported
