Householder facing additional charges.

Former Ohio House Speaker Larry Householder, previously convicted in the largest bribery scandal in state history, is now facing additional criminal charges that could prevent him from holding public office again. Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost announced Monday that a Cuyahoga County Grand Jury indicted Householder, 64, on ten felony charges that accuse him of ethics violations and misusing campaign money. The latest indictment alleges he misused campaign funds to pay for his criminal defense in the FirstEnergy bribery scandal case and that he failed to disclose “fiduciary relationships, creditors and gifts” in ethics committee filings, including those related to the scandal.
