IN Votes Along Party Lines In POTUS Impeachment

Indiana’s delegation on Wednesday voted along party lines as the U.S. House impeached President Trump for “incitement of insurrection” over the deadly mob siege of the Capitol. The state’s seven Republican House members voted against impeachment, while the two Democrats favored it…for a history-making second time. Larry Bucshon of the 8th District, called the push to impeach the President both divisive and dangerous. Others pushed back against that…saying the division was created last week in the riot…and now punishments need to be handed out to the guilty. Otherwise the signal?…seditionists can do what they want. And since nothing happened to them from last week’s actions…other insurrections are likely. In the end…in an historic move…a handful of republicans vote against party lines…for impeachment. It’s a first.
