Incentives…And Local Business

The Montpelier Village council accepts an economic incentive package for an area business. Moore Industries, on Henricks Drive, is planning on investing around $1 million dollars in Montpelier for an expansion project…adding roughly 18,000 square feet to its facility…with a third of it going to the molding bay…the rest is warehouse space. With the add-on, 12 full-time jobs…with an added payroll of $300,000 will be created, too. While some prep work will be going on soon, the real work will start in September…with completion set for June, 2022. The Enterprise Zone Agreement the council passed…gives Moore Industries a 10-year tax abatement at 75%…that’s an estimated savings of $15,000 a year.
