Indianapolis woman facing theft charges in Defiance County

26 year old Elizabeth Romeiser of Indianapolis, is facing charges of theft and failure to comply with a police officer after she led Defiance police on a brief pursuit Monday afternoon following a report of a shoplifting complaint at Walmart on North Clinton St. Law enforcement was informed that Romeiser was leaving the scene in a vehicle. Officers pursued Romeiser on to Ohio 66 at speeds up to 80 mph, according to scanner traffic, before Romeiser stopped. She was then taken into custody.
