Injury Accident In DKC

In DeKalb County…one woman is hospitalized and another injured in a crash on U.S. 6, at the intersection with County Road 53. Officers arrive to find one vehicle in the ditch and another in the roadway. Jeffrey Spillers, 24, of Auburn tells officers he was traveling west on 6…behind another vehicle. Spillers says he was using his phone, behind the wheel…when Lori Buell, driving the lead car…slows down and tries to turn south, onto County Road 53. Spillers says he couldn’t hit the brakes soon enough…running into Buell’s car. Spillers is okay. Buell?…she is taken to an area hospital with a head injury. Spillers is cited for using his phone, while driving. The case continues.
