A solo crash in DeKalb County puts an area woman is in the hospital. Officials tell reporters Tara Woodard of Auburn, was westbound on County Road 36 when she missed a turn. Woodard’s vehicle veered off the roadway before crashing into a tree. Emergency crews had to cut out Woodard from her vehicle…she was pinned inside after the airbags were deployed. She suffered chest and back injuries and was flown to an area hospital. Woodard was not wearing a seat-belt at the time of the crash. Authorities believe alcohol was a factor. The crash remains under investigation by both state and local authorities.
