A corrections supervisor sustained minor injuries Tuesday evening while attempting to stop an inmate who was trying to damage fire safety equipment at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio. 27 year old Joshua Johnson of Toledo, punched the supervisor in the face, causing a bloody nose, according to CCNO Public Information Officer Linda Shambarger. The supervisor was treated by the jail’s medical staff and returned to duty. The Williams County Sheriff’s Office also responded to assist. Johnson was serving a five-month sentence from the Toledo Municipal Court on a previous assault charge. He remains in custody at CCNO, in the disciplinary isolation unit.
