It’s Done

The waterline extension project for Airmate is completed after the Bryan Board of Public Affairs approved the last change order this week. The Airmate Company has planned to expand its 40,000-square-foot facility, on County Road D, by about 26,000 square feet to accommodate increased demand. To meet safety codes, the facility needed a more robust sprinkler system, which could not be accommodated by its current water source, a well. The change order resulted in a deduction of $4,755.50 from the project, which was awarded to Bryan Excavating with a bid of $282,220 in May. Remaining funds will be reimbursed to Airmate and the city of Bryan Revolving Loan Fund, officials say.
