James Dickerhoof, 52

James David Dickerhoof, age 52, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 9:44 P.M. on Saturday, February 22, 2014, shortly after admittance to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan, Ohio. As a special needs child, Jim touched the hearts of all he met. He attended Sunnyside School and most recently enjoyed respite time at the Sunshine Childrens Home in Maumee, Ohio. Jim loved to go just anywhere, taking rides in the car, going to ball games and watching all kinds of sports on TV with his Pepsi-Cola at his side. He was a member of the 1st Assembly of God in Bryan and for years was an avid listener of WOWO radio and was once recognized as a friend of WOWO by radio personalities Bob Seavers and Jay Gould.

James David Dickerhoof was born on September 29, 1961, in Hicksville, Ohio, the son of William H. and Peggy E. (Onstott) Dickerhoof, who survive in Edgerton.

Survivors also include a sister, Elaine “Bobbie” Clayton; his nephews and nieces, Bart and Ralph Taube, Magan Gay, Kylee Guiterrez, Jon Zebolsky and Damien Bremmer; his aunts and uncles, Chuck and Theresa Dickerhoff, of Butler, Indiana, Mike and Toni Dickerhoff, of Butler, Indiana, Wayne and Ilene Hamman, of Butler, and Tony and Terri Singer, of Ney, Ohio; his great-aunt, Garcille Brandebery, of Corunna, Indiana; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Jo Dickerhoof, his grandparents, David and Lucille Dickerhoff, James Onstott, Claudia (Onstott) Fillmore and Pat Fillmore.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton. Services will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, with Pastor Kevin Boulis officiating. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Hicksville, Ohio.
