Janice McBride, 82

Janice I. Snyder McBride, 82 years, of Hamilton, passed away Monday, November 2, 2015 at Northern Lakes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Angola.  Janice was born February 18, 1933 in Edon, Ohio, the daughter of the late Cecil F. and Vera C. (Knisely) Harger.  She was a 1951 graduate of Hamilton High School.  She married Amos P. Snyder on September 16, 1951 in the Hamilton United Methodist Church, Hamilton, Indana, and he preceded her in death on April 21, 1982.  Janice then married Harley R. McBride on October 9, 1998 in Auburn, Indiana and he also preceded her in death on June 28, 2008.  Janice worked for Harger’s Meats in Hamilton for 10 years.  She also worked for LaMann Corporation and Pent Products until her retirement in 1993.  She was a member of the Hamilton United Methodist Church.   Janice enjoyed bird watching, watching television, but she mostly treasured the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are her three children, Garry K. (Judy) Snyder of Quincy, Michigan, Amy L. Truesdell of Hamilton, Indiana and Rodney W. (Nicole) Snyder of Angola, Indiana, four stepchildren, Vicki (Rick) Bruner of Angola, Indiana, Rita Mason of Coldwater, Michigan, Roxane (Dave) Richie of Waterloo, Indiana and Rex (Dar) McBride of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one daughter-in-law, Stacy Snyder of Angola; eight grandchildren, Joshua A. Snyder, Renee N. Snyder, J. Brock Dutton, Kelle R. McNeil, MacKenzie A. Snyder, Hailee N. Snyder, Cassie M. Pfafman and Morgan W. Snyder; three great-grandchildren, Brycen and Owen McNeil and Hunter Snyder; 11 step grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren; one sister, Delores Kepler of Hamilton.  She was preceded in death by both of her husbands, one son, Randy Snyder, one son-in-law, Bill Truesdell, Jr., one sister, Phyllis White and one great-grandson, Connar Matthew Dutton.

Visitation for Janice I. Snyder McBride will be held Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 3985 East Church Street, Hamilton, where funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Donna Holcomb officiating.  Interment will follow in Hamilton Cemetery.
