Seth Charles McCord, 23 years, of Napoleon, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015, as a result of an automobile accident near Ridgeville Corners. Seth was born on September 18, 1992 in Bryan, Ohio to James L. McCord and Rebecca L. Peggs. He was a 2011 graduate of Napoleon High School where he participated on the swim and water polo team, being named as a captain his senior year. Seth worked for Titan Tire as a cureman for 2 years and also worked at Sauder Woodworking. Seth enjoyed a variety of hobbies, whether it be fishing, camping, and spray painting artistic pictures or simply spending time with his friends. He was a member of the Bryan Eagles Aerie 2233 and also member of the Northwest Ohio Fire Troupe, where he traveled with the Troupe, participating in many festivals around the area.
Surviving is his mother, Rebecca L. Peggs-Kerr of Napoleon; father, James L. McCord of Bryan; one brother, Erik Kerr of Bryan; maternal grandparents, William (Phoebe) Peggs of Bryan; two nieces, Jasmine and Makensie Kerr; and special friend, Erin Fricke. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Seth was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Mary McCord.
Visitation for Seth Charles McCord will be held Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan. Funeral services for Seth will begin at 12:00 noon, Friday, November 6, 2015 with his uncle, Bradley Burkholder officiating. Interment will follow in Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
