Unemployment rates continue to move up slightly in July. Statewide, it ticked up to 4.6 percent, from 4.2 in June…this, while the national rate is at 4, up from 3.8 percent. In Williams County, it’s at 3.6 percent, up from 3.3 percent in June. Still, Williams rate remains one of the lowest in the state and is the jobs leader in the northwest region. Over in Defiance County…July comes in at 4.7 percent, an uptick from 4.3 in June. Henry County’s non-seasonally adjusted unemployment for July was 4.6 percent, it was 4.2, the previous month. Overall…these are very strong jobs numbers…anywhere!
