Kaptur On The Debt Ceiling

Congresswoman, Marcy Kaptur, says Republicans are playing a dangerous game with the nation’s economy, regarding the ongoing national debt ceiling debate. Kaptur, whose Ninth District includes Williams County, was joined by other female representatives from Ohio and Pennsylvania for a Zoom teleconference on the issue. She pointed out there have been 12.6 million jobs created in the country since President Joe Biden took office and that Democrats would like to continue that progress. Kaptur said the stance taken by Republicans has already begun to have an effect, stating housing sales are down. She said cuts sought by Republicans would hurt Ohioans in almost every walk of life.
