Kochert Is The Winner

Incumbent, Tom Kochert wins the race for Williams County sheriff. The county elections board completed their final count, recording 8,960 votes for Kochert…7,649 votes for Mohre. As we reported, Mohre was a write-in candidate…his name did not appear on the ballot. Officials say about 250 absentee ballots are still out. If they are postmarked by Nov. 2 and received by the board before the close of business on Nov. 13, they will also be counted. That’s just routine…as all the races have been decided, already.
